On November 23, John Travolta, 56, and Kelly Preston, 48, welcomed their new son, Benjamin, into the world. This baby is giving them what they are calling “a new beginning” after the loss of their 16 year old son just two years ago.
The loss of their son, Jett, was very public and all too tragic. When the couple found out Preston was pregnant it really boosted their spirits.
They showed off their son on the cover of “HELLO!” magazine, one of Britain’s magazines and on the cover of People magazine. The family was dressed in all white, smiling from ear to ear.
According to Travolta, “For us it’s been uplifting. He’s given the house a renewed spirit and purpose. He’s brought us a new beginning, and his presence has brought joy to all the people who have wanted the best for us.”
Even before the loss of their teenage son, the couple had been trying for three years to have another baby. Jett died in a seizure related accident in January 2009. At the time, the family was vacationing in the Bahamas.
The couple also have a 10 year old daughter named Ella Bleu. She is loving her little brother and showering baby Benjamin with kisses.
