New York Jets quarterback, Mark Sanchez, is hopeful for Sunday’s game. The Jets will be taking on the Chicago Bears on the Bears’ home turf Sunday. Sanchez is listed as probable with a 90 percent chance of setting foot on the field according to coach Rex Ryan.

Sanchez is suffering from a sore shoulder. On Monday, an MRI showed a slight tear in cartilage in the affected shoulder. He practiced most of the week and just tried to keep it loose Friday by doing windmill motions in between plays.

Coach Ryan said Friday, “After what I saw today I feel really good about where he is. I think we all saw, he was zipping it. He sent a message to all of us, mainly me, that he’s ready to go.” This bodes well for Sanchez’ chances on Sunday.

Ready to step in if needed is quarterback Mark Brunell who is currently slotted as backup to Sanchez. Brunell was looking good in Friday’s practice according to reports from media present. Ryan had good things to say about Brunell’s performance, especially if he needs to call on him during Sunday’s game.

Ryan confirmed the game plan for Sunday would not change depending on which quarterback is taking the snaps. The team is ready for the game and will execute regardless of who is under center.
